(Video) Sutera Matra Get-Together - Bali 2023
21 September 2023, Saturday - Following the Retail Partner Convention, Sutera Matra continued with their annual get-together at Bali. With 86 pax in 4 buses, the 1st stop was about discovering the best of Bali’s southern coast – Uluwatu Temple. Blessed with nice windy weather and picturesque views of the Indian Ocean, the day’s program was off to a great start.
To understand Bali even more, the team visited the Garuda Cultural Park exploring iconic cultural landmarks including the Garuda Wisnu Kencana, which stands at 121 metres tall and represents the Hindu God Vishnu as well as his mount, the Garuda Bird.
After these Instagrammable photo moments, it was time for lunch. Everyone enjoyed authentic Balinese cuisine at Timbungan Bali, including the signature duck cooked inside bamboo and the local greengrass jelly dessert. Kopi Luwak isn't the only kind of coffee available in Bali. The island has a variety of beans and blends, and the specialists from Bali Brista Center shared with us the fun facts about coffee, especially the locally produced beans. The two hour workshop also included an open dialogue session to explore the business opportunity to set up a café at petrol stations and through the interactive quiz session, the team all learnt how to make a cup of good coffee based on individual preference as well.
Next on the program was retail therapy and team members spent millions of rupiah at Krisna Oleh Oleh, the biggest souvenir shop selling all types of merchandise from clothes, foods, toys, spa products, art pieces and many more.
The annual gathering ended with breathtaking scenery complete with a gorgeous sunset by the beach, sand, live music and freshly cooked seafood at Hatiku Jimbaran. It was definitely a great way to end a fun, laughter-filled day.
