June - July 2025, Perak, Kedah, Penang & Perlis - Pen Petroleum, together with its Retail Partners, recently held a series of “Back-to-Basic” workplace safety training endorsed by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH). The initiative focused on strengthening compliance, improving safety practices, and preparing station teams for audits and daily operational risks.

Held at Caltex Parit Buntar (19 June), Caltex Pendang (25 June), and Caltex Permatang Pauh (24 July), the sessions drew strong participation from station staff, managers, and safety coordinators.

Key Topics covered:-

  • Discharge area audits
  • Underground storage tank inspections
  • Dispensing zone safety checks
  • Documentation and filing best practices

The workshops were practical and interactive, aligned with the DOSH audit checklist. Participants left with clearer knowledge, stronger skills, and renewed confidence in managing workplace safety.

Feedback was highly positive, with many noting greater understanding of audit expectations. Chevron RBCs also added valuable insights, motivating teams to continually raise their safety standards.

These “Back-to-Basic” trainings reflect Pen Petroleum’s commitment to building a robust safety culture across its Caltex network, ensuring every station remains compliant, safe, and well-prepared.
