New And Improved RetailBuzz Portal Coming Your Way Soon!

As an organisation with a large network across the globe and within Malaysia, it is important for Chevron to have a centralised channel where everyone can stay updated with the latest news. Since 2015, RetailBuzz has been the medium to inform all Retail Partners about what’s happening at Chevron and within the Caltex network.

RetailBuzz started out as a PDF newsletter that was circulated to all Retail Partners before transitioning in 2017 to the quarterly digital news portal that you see today. It has been five years since the quarterly issues were first launched, and just like any good business, it has to continue evolving to keep up with the current demands.

After much consideration of the feedback and opinions from various Retail Partners and internal Chevron stakeholders, we are pleased to announce that the RetailBuzz portal will be revamped come January 2022 and RetailBuzz Issue 18 (this issue) marks the end of the quarterly format.

Retail Partners will still be able to access previous e-newsletters and articles from the past seven years in the ‘Archives’ section of the new RetailBuzz site, and all future updates will continue to be posted in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.

So, what can you expect from the enhanced RetailBuzz news portal in Q1 of 2022?

  • News will be shared as and when it is available, so you are always updated on the latest happenings
  • Articles will be shorter in length and more focus will be given to photos, videos and infographics, where possible
  • WhatsApp blasts containing links to all the news articles released within that period will be sent weekly/fortnightly – remember to save the
  • RetailBuzz WhatsApp number as a contact in order to receive this!
  • Search button which will make it much easier to search the article database for a particular topic or piece of news (only applicable to articles uploaded from 2022 onwards)

In Q2 of 2022, the major update for the RetailBuzz portal will be rolled out – a new gamification section known as WIRA CALTEX, that aims to:

  • Acknowledge and reward hardworking staff at all stations to boost engagement
  • Keep staff updated with the latest promotions so that they can better serve customers
  • Refresh their knowledge from their training so that they can perform their best at work

Frontliners just need to spend ONE MINUTE a day from Monday to Friday answering simple questions on the RetailBuzz site to be in the running to win vouchers and certificates each quarter. As this programme is only open to frontliners who have registered at their respective stations, Chevron will be conducting a pre-registration campaign for existing frontliners from January 2022 onwards.

Meanwhile, all new staff who come on board later are welcome to join by registering directly on the site. Signing up is really simple – all they need to do is scan a QR code which will take them to the RetailBuzz portal and register their name, WhatsApp number and the station they are from. More information on this will be released in January 2022, so do look out for it.

With the enhanced RetailBuzz portal, we hope to better engage Retail Partners through timely updates as well as provide greater learning and development support to all frontliners.
