Branded Marketers help combat the spread of COVID-19

Issue 13, 2020

These last few months have been a strange and challenging period for Malaysians and the rest of the world. Almost overnight, we’ve gone from freely going about our daily lives to being forced to stay at home to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

With the movement control order (MCO) in place since 18 March, the majority of Malaysians stay at home all week and only venture out occasionally for essential items. However, there are thousands of frontliners across various key industries who do not have the luxury of staying at home and are putting themselves at risk every day so that they can continue to serve the rest of the population.

As petrol stations are part of the essential services, our dedicated Caltex station staff have been on hand to ensure that the stations run as usual, with minimal disruptions.

In light of that, two of Chevron’s Branded Marketers – Pen Petroleum and Sutera Matra – launched COVID-19 initiatives to help safeguard the health and safety of Caltex station staff as well as that of their customers.

These initiatives involved sending out Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as face masks to the stations to help protect the frontliners on duty, conducting daily temperature checks for staff, and sanitising petrol pumps and other surfaces that customers might come into contact with. The steps taken by the Branded Marketers demonstrate their commitment towards the health and safety of their retailers and customers.

Chevron Malaysia salutes our Branded Marketers for doing what they can to combat this COVID-19 pandemic.
